If you have just upgraded to Snow Leopard, you might have noticed that the Expose in Snow Leopard, displays a hideous blue border when you hover/highlight on top of a window.

Snow Leopard Blue Border

While as of right now, there isn’t a way to change the color manually. You can change the border to transparent.

Snow Leopard Transparent Border

Here’s how to do so?
1. Grab this zip file. Copy these two files - expose-window-selection-big.png” and “expose-window-selection-small.png

2. Go to Macintosh Hd/System/Library/Core Services

3. Right click the Dock.app and click Show Package Contents

4. Go on the Contents Folder and then the Resources Folder4. Go on the Contents Folder and then the Resources Folder

5. Find the two files named “expose-window-selection-big.png” and “expose-window-selection-small.png”. Copy them somewhere else to keep as a backup just in case you want to revert to the blue border.

6. Paste the files you copied in Step 1.

7. Restart your Mac.

8. If you followed all the steps correctly, you should now have the a transparent border when you hover over objects in expose.

Swebapps - Build Your Own iPhone App in 5 Minutes

This is pretty awesome. It’s a bit expensive (the base package costs $200 for 4 Apps buttons on one app and  then a $25 monthly hosting fee). Check out the review, Although it might just be cheaper to hire someone offshore and then host it yourself.

Introducing LittleSnapper 1.5 and Ember

The people over at Realmac Software released an update to the LittleSnapper service (which is by far the best screenshot service on the mac). The downside to this is that they released a newer version of QuickSnapper (the photo-sharing companinion of LittleSnapper) called Ember. It is annoying cause now all of a sudden it’s a pay service and the price of unlimited uploads is the same as a flickr pro account. So it’s pretty much not worth it.

Update: Ember seems to be offline due to server issues. It does have a wicked nice logo though

My new Macbook Pro finally arrived. Probably not a good idea to get a new computer now due to the current economy and everything, but always wanted one. So bought one anyways. Hopefully it’ll all work out like it’s supposed to.

PhotoBooth for Windows

Mac users have for a long time bragged and showed of their cool photobooth effects. But at the end of the day,its taking pictures with a basic webcam and using a software to enhance the pictures, so why cant Windows do the same?

Well now Windows (wait not only WIndows ) -actually any computer equipped with a webcam can get the awesome PhotoBooth effects in their Web Browser. Just head over to Cameroid or Seenly. Both sites are easy to use. the website automatically detects your webcam, you decide the effects and then click the SNAP button. Both sites have an option to either download the image or share it online. Cameroid has been around for a time while Seenly is fairly new. Overall an excellent replacement to PhotoBooth.

And if you’d like these effects and dont have a webcam, then head over to Target to get this GE EasyCam for only $ 19.99
