Mystery of the Rising Tune video

Each time you play the video, the recorded tune’s pitch keeps rising. It’s only 12sec long, so it takes quite a few plays till you get sick and tired of trying to figure it out. W-e-i-r-d. If anyone has an explanation to offer, do tell.
