First of all I have nothing against Jakob Lodwick or the act of re-blogging. He seems like an awesome person, I give him kudos for his work in Vimeo and he does have some good videos at vimeo. But here’s thing after getting a lot of publicity from Valleywag, he has emerged as some kind of super celebrity on Tumblr. I am guessing he has over a thousand followers. And I have nothing against that. What I do not like about him is that: he is eating up space on my Tumblr dashboard. It seems that every time he posts something, at least 10 other people re-blog it. I mean if I wanted to know about Jakob Lodwick, I can go visit his site or follow him. What’s the point of everyone posting the same content on their Tumblr? Tumblr should be about individuality and spreading the words of the unheard voices. If you are posting something that 20 other tumble-logs have already posted, how are you making any contribution to the tumble universe? So, seriously, can you please cut down on re-blogging everything he posts on his site (which he seems to do a lot). This is worse than the twitter outrage on Tumblr.
