My Fairwell Comment to MySpace
dear guys at myspace,
i think you guys did a great job of introducing social networks to the whole world. But then somewhere along the way you sold yourselves. From the place for friends you became the place for ads. Then came the spam - but i was ok with the spam because anything thats famous has to have vulnerabilities. Then you started copying other people’s idea (myspace video - youtube, status and mood - twitter, facebook status).
SO heres my fairwell advice,
1. lower the number of ads
2. modernize MYSPACE - myspace is still fairly running on basic html whereas the competition is using AJAX, php,etc. for faster page loading time
3.simplify - make it more user-friendly for the average user to navigate
4. improve the search
5. stick with what you do best - myspace is for music and customized profiles - not comedy, videos or classifieds
ok as i end this rant i feel that i left out alot of things thatt i loved - like for example atleast you guys let me actually delete an account (which facebook doesnt) -there are many more of these
so anyways, heres to the guys who created myspace
and i wish you luck
